Glass door manufacturers

Safety is the paramount concern for glass products. You must ensure the supplier provides Tempered Glass (Toughened) or Laminated Glass that meets regional safety codes. Key certifications include ANSI Z97.1 for the US market, EN 12150 for the EU, and AS/NZS 2208 for Australia. Always verify the CCC (China Compulsory Certification) mark for glass integrity and ensure the fragmentation test results meet the standard of at least 40 particles in a 50x50mm area.

The longevity of a glass door depends heavily on its hardware. For frames, prioritize Aluminum Alloy 6063-T5 with a thickness of at least 2.0mm for structural stability. Hardware components like floor springs, patch fittings, and handles should be made of Stainless Steel 304 or 316 to prevent corrosion. Request hardware that has passed a cycle test of at least 500,000 openings to ensure durability in high-traffic commercial environments.

For exterior glass doors, look for Low-E (Low Emissivity) coatings and Double Glazing (IGU) with argon gas filling to improve thermal insulation. To enhance soundproofing, specify acoustic PVB interlayers in laminated glass, which can reduce noise by up to 35-40 decibels. Ensure the use of EPDM gaskets rather than standard PVC for superior sealing and weather resistance.

Yes, professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer extensive customization. This includes CNC precision cutting for irregular shapes, sandblasting or acid-etching for privacy patterns, and digital printing for branding. Ensure you provide CAD or BIM drawings to the supplier to confirm hole positions for handles and hinges, as tempered glass cannot be cut or drilled after the toughening process.

Glass is highly fragile; therefore, packaging is critical. Insist on seaworthy fumigated plywood crates with cork pads or EPE foam separating each glass sheet. For LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, request A-frame steel racks for added stability. It is highly recommended to purchase All-Risk Marine Insurance and include a clause for 'concealed damage' discovered within 72 hours of unpacking.

Focus on the Total Landed Cost rather than just the unit price. Negotiate based on volume tiers (e.g., 20GP vs. 40HQ containers), as shipping costs per unit drop significantly with full containers. Ask for a spare parts kit (5% extra gaskets and screws) to be included at no cost. For long-term partnerships, request a staged payment plan such as 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L) after a successful third-party pre-shipment inspection.

Utilize the Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Before transferring large sums, conduct a factory audit or hire a third-party agency (like SGS or Intertek) to verify the supplier's production capacity and business license. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the detailed glass specifications, tolerance levels (+/- 2mm), and packaging standards to avoid disputes.

Check the HS Code (typically 7007.19 or 7007.21) for your specific glass door type to determine import duties in your country. Be aware of anti-dumping duties that some regions (like the EU or USA) may impose on specific Chinese glass categories. Always request a Certificate of Origin (CO) from your supplier to potentially benefit from preferential tariff rates under bilateral trade agreements.
