Video greeting cards manufacturers

When evaluating Video Greeting Cards, focus on the Screen Resolution (typically 480x272 for 4.3" or 1024x600 for 7") and Screen Type (IPS screens offer better viewing angles). The Memory Capacity should range from 128MB to 8GB depending on video length. Ensure the Battery Capacity (usually 300mAh to 1500mAh) supports at least 1.5 to 2 hours of continuous playback. Additionally, verify the Paper GSM (300-350g is standard) to ensure the card feels premium and supports the electronic components without sagging.

Since these products contain lithium batteries and circuit boards, they must have CE, RoHS, and FCC certifications to clear customs in the EU and US. For the batteries specifically, request UN38.3 and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) reports to ensure safe air and sea transport. If the cards are intended for children, they must also comply with EN71 or CPSIA standards.

Beyond the video content, you should confirm Auto-play functionality (via magnetic induction or light sensors) and Button configurations (Play/Pause, Volume +/-, or multiple video selection buttons). Ask about Surface Finishing options like Spot UV, Gold Foiling, or Matte Lamination to enhance brand value. Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com can often provide die-cut templates for your designers to ensure perfect alignment of the screen and buttons.

Request a pre-production sample to test the Audio Clarity; low-quality 8-ohm speakers can sound tinny or distorted at high volumes. Check for Video Codec Compatibility (usually MP4 or AVI) and ensure the Frame Rate is stable at 25-30fps to avoid lagging. High-end suppliers will offer High-Fidelity (Hi-Fi) speakers for premium corporate gift applications.

Video Greeting Cards are classified as 'Dangerous Goods' due to built-in batteries. You must use a freight forwarder experienced in Battery Shipping (DG Cargo). Ensure the supplier uses UN-certified packaging to prevent short circuits during transit. Shipping via Express (DHL/FedEx) is faster but requires strict documentation; Sea Freight is more economical for bulk orders but requires careful moisture protection.

Utilize Trade Security services offered by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery. It is highly recommended to hire a Third-Party Inspection service to conduct a Final Random Inspection (FRI). They should check the Screen Functionality, Battery Charging, and Print Quality of at least 10% of the total order before you release the remaining 70% balance.

Negotiate based on Tiered Pricing (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units). Instead of just pushing for the lowest price, negotiate for Spare Units (usually 1-2% extra) to cover potential electronic failures. Also, request Free Memory Upgrades or Customized Packaging as value-added services if the unit price remains firm. Always clarify the Lead Time, especially during peak seasons like Q4, to avoid missing marketing deadlines.

To protect your brand, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before sharing proprietary video content. You can choose to have the supplier Pre-load the videos at the factory to save labor costs, or request a USB Data Cable be included with every card so you can upload content locally, which also allows for last-minute content updates.
